    StatsMeOwn

    Ae pessoal,

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    INSTALLATION

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before you start: In order to run the program you will require the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) installed on your machine. *Most* browsers come with it already, however the nazis at microsoft didn't include it with Internet Explorer.

Head over to http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp to get the JVM, it will check if you already have it installed before it begins downloading.

    1. Take all the files in the zip that you downloaded and place them in your dod folder (default for non-retail is C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\dod\)

    2. In your dod folder you'll find a file called config.cfg open that file with notepad. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the file and on a new line paste this line:

    bind "F12" "exec stats.cfg"

    then save your changes.

    3. Now there should be a file called yournamehere.txt All you have to do is rename that file to whatever your name in dod is.

For example my file is called: [907th] SMaj. Whiskas [C].txt

(note: It is important that you name the text file EXACTLY as it appears in game)

If you have multiple people playing dod on your computer and they want to have a separate stats file from you, all they have to do is create a copy of yournamehere.txt and rename it to their own in game name.

    4. This last step is optional, but if you want you can create a shortcut to STATSmeow.jar anywhere you want so that you don't have to dig around in your dod folder.

Warning: Its is generally NOT recommended you change your name while you are in game, it causes the program to be confused and spit out inaccurate results.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    HOW TO USE

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The way STATSmeow works is that it will take raw data that was collected in game and then analyze it and turn into usable data.

So lets go through how to collect your stats in game:

    1. Enter a server (you DO NOT need to load STATSmeow.jar before you open dod, in fact its not recommended you run the program while playing dod)

    2. After you have spawned the first time, walk out of you spawn and push the F12 key when you're about a grenade throws distance away from your spawn.

    3. From that moment on, try pushing the F12 key every minute or two. You will notice a message will appear in the top left of your screen acknowledging that you have saved some raw data.

(A DAMN IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT PUSH THE F12 KEY SEVERAL TIMES IN A ROW. YOU CAN SERIOUSLY FUDGE UP YOUR STATS. JUST PRESS THE KEY ONCE EVERY MINUTE OR TWO.)

    4. Finally, just before you exit the server, press F12. Also, try to hit the F12 right before a map change. If you don't manage to hit it before the "Loading" thing shows up in the middle, just push F12 the second you join the new map.

Now lets go through how to analyze your stats after you have collected them and exited dod.

    1. Open the STATSmeow.jar program

    2. Now in the "Input You In-Game Name" Field, type in your in-game name EXACTLY as it was in-game. Remember that you should also have a text file in your dod folder that has the same name as your in-game name in dod.

IF YOU FORGET TO PUT IN YOUR NAME, YOUR SESSION STATS WILL PROBABLY BE DELETED. I'll definitely fix this in the next version.

    3. Now press the "Analyze Session Data" button. The program will then begin to analyze the raw data you collected in game. When Its done it will display your "session stats" which are your stats from the games you just finished playing.

    4. If you wish to save these stats into you overall stats, press the "Save to overall stats button". The program will then take your session stats and merge them with the stats from all your other games.

    5. Finally you can hit the "Show overall stats" button. It will then display the cumulative stats from all your games.

    6. Exit STATSmeow

Note that you can view your stats at any time by opening the program, typing your in game name in and pushing the "Show overall stats" button.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    EXPLANATION OF STATS

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll now explain what all the different stats mean.

    Total Kills: obvious
    Total Deaths: obvious
Total Suicides: how many times you naded yourself, fell to your death, got squished by something etc.
K Ratio: essentially how many kills you get per one death
Objectives Captured: objectives include flags, and anything else that you can capture (like tanks, documents etc)
Total Times Joined Allies: how many times you have joined the allies team
Total Times Joined Axis: see above

The rest of the Stats have this format:
Total Times *insert some weapon here* Selected:
This shows how many times you have selected the class that is associated with the certain weapon. So if it says I have selected the kar a total of 4 times, it means that I have selected the Grenadier class 4 times.
