Epic On UT2004 AMD64 Support
Reported by: Chris Tom At: 12:10 PM Source: BBS
I saw in this thread that Epic's Mark Rein has posted details about an AMD64 port of UT2004, and that the G5 and Linux will also be supported near release. I don't imagine we will see any Mac's at our lan parties however.
We are planning to ship UT2004 on OS X at approximately the same time as the Windows release. It will be published by Macsoft and will also include optimizations for the new G5 processors.
UT2004 will support Linux (both client and server) as well. As with UT2003, Linux support will be included in the box with UT2004. This time we'll make sure it gets mentioned on the box.
In case you also weren't aware of this: the Windows version of UT2004 will include native 64-bit support for AMD Athlon 64. Tim Sweeney and Ryan Gordon demonstrated the 64-bit version of UT2004 at today's AMD64 launch event in San Francisco.
O bom que o Linux vai continuar a ter suporte, para quem não sabe o Open GL no linux é em média 30% mais rápido que o OGL do windows. Bem ta ae a noticia LMAO
