America's Army na E3
[PoT]: Will the Stryker(s) be drivable?
[DEV]Kermit: Not at E3. I'm not sure when they will be either, so don't ask me
[PoT]: What will the opposing force see the styker as?
[DEV]Kermit: Something other than a Stryker, I personally don't know what it's called though.
[PoT]: How difficult is something like the styker to mplement into the game?
[DEV]Kermit: There are a lot of different pieces to getting something like the Stryker in the game. Some of the most important we're obviously not even tackling yet (like driving). Aside from the considerable art assets that go into the Stryker, we've got one programmer, Greg Paull, who's currently spending almost all of his time getting the Stryker's weapon working.
[PoT]: Could you have implanted the styker before the code drop from epic?
[DEV]Kermit: I'm guessing that you're referring to Karma's vehicle physics here. Since the Stryker won't be drivable, no, we're not currently using anything from the Code Drop.
[PoT]: Will their be any requirements to use the styker?
[DEV]Kermit: I don't think there will be, but that could change.
e coisas nao muito animadoras (karma vai demorar)
[PoT]: With the purchase of the Karma engine have there been any testing with it
and when can we expect to see some of these things?
[DEV]Kermit: We haven't started implementing anything related to Karma yet, nor will we before E3. We're pretty excited about getting it working though, so you can bet we'll start working on it as soon as we have the time.
[PoT]: Will medics be made available to us. if so can you explain a little about what functions they will have in the game besides the obvious
[DEV]Kermit: The first thing I can tell you is that you won't be able to select the Medic class unless you go through the training, and a big part of the training will be learning real information about what it takes to be a real Army Medic.
The second thing I can tell you is that in implementing the Medic class, we changed the damage model a bit. Instead of just taking a set amount of damage when you get hit, you'll take some of the damage immediately, with the rest "bleeding" out over time. Although the Medic won't be able to heal you, he will be able to stop the bleeding, keeping you in the fight longer. Additionally, even if he doesn't get to you in time, he'll still be able to restore a significant amount of your CEM. If you don't have any Medics on your team, then the game will play exactly as it did before, so the new damage model can only serve to keep you in the game longer.
